PlayStation Plus Plays

A content series utilising practical effects to encourage gamers to immerse themselves in the wider world of PlayStation Plus.
We were engaged by PlayStation and Poem to develop a video concept for social to amplify their campaign #PSPlusPlays, which was aimed at driving sales to their subscription service, PlayStation Plus. With a competition in place to encourage players to complete monthly challenges across multiple games, we were brought in to promote this and to illustrate how gamers could immerse themselves in a larger world.
Cue: Practical effects.
We were able to illustrate that immersion on set by utilising practical effects such as lighting, projection, smoke and wind, to create the illusion of our talent entering the settings of the games they were playing.
Throughout the 12-month campaign, a different game was spotlighted each month, meaning Sure Studios made a supplementary video asset every few weeks to promote the featured game and prize pack.
Director / Ideation
Sure Studios stands on Gadigal Land. We acknowledge the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the Country we work on today. We recognise their continuing connection to the land, waters and culture. We thank them for protecting this coastline and its ecosystems since time immemorial and acknowledge that they have never ceded sovereignty. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all First Nations people.
